New Prosecutor Bill Strips PM and Cabinet of Appointment Power
Malaysia's new legislation removes the Prime Minister and Cabinet from appointing the public prosecutor. The King will select candidates exclusively from a list vetted by the Judicial and Legal Service Commission, Law Minister Azalina Othman Said announced.
